Synopsis
Destiny brings two youngsters together in the middle of a flower show whose love story begins as soon as they meet. Maia and Pablo come from different social classes: Maia is Othón’s daughter, one of the most important entrepreneurs in the flower growing industry, while Pablo belongs to the bodyguard squad escorting Antonia, Othón’s biggest opponent… two people holding a lot of grudge.[adinserter block=”10″]
Antonia and Othón met at a young age and they don’t miss any chance to hurt each other, so when the confusing encounter between Maia and Pablo takes place, Antonia uses that ‘holy gift’ to fool the girl by telling her Pablo is one of the most important flower-growers in the country… a lie that is not intended to hurt Maia, to whom is irrelevant whether Pablo has money or not, but Othón instead, a nouveau riche with no class who wants his daughter to marry a wealthy man and would be overly devastated to hear she is in love with a poor man.
Not only is Maia and Pablo’s love doomed by the mess around their first encounter, but also by their mutual former couples: Cindy and Federico. Cindy has been Pablo’s girlfriend for many years (she calls him by his second name: Herminio) and she is determined to keep him next to her despite he is not willing to anymore. Federico, on the other hand, pretends to be a rich boy who is with Maia out of interest and wants to marry her benefiting from the support Othón gives him (he believes Federico is a millionaire). Both will do anything to prevent that some “stuck-up girl” and a “nobody” steal from them what they consider to be theirs.
Rage, spitefulness, and jealousy are the topping of this love story that comes up in the most unexpected place and puts Maia and Pablo’s ingenuity and determination to the test.

Ela Velden as Maia
Nice and beautiful young girl who keeps her humbleness despite being rich and having a father who spoils her. She is Carmen and Othón’s daughter and she suffered greatly when her younger brother, Gael, died. She studied medicine and her main concern is helping others. Federico is her wooer, but she doesn’t really like him since she considers him a hypocrite. This is why she falls immediately in love with Pablo’s spontaneity and honesty… although she ignores what he is hiding.
Daniel Arenas as Pablo Herminio
His desire to help others and risk his life for them runs in his blood. He became a bodyguard after his mother forbade him to be a fireman just like his grandfather and his father were, since the latter died in the line of duty. He is the head of the squad responsible for protecting Antonia. He is Tulia and Herminio’s son, and brother of Cristian and Jenny Paola. He has been dating Cindy for years, but he doesn’t love her anymore; his life takes a twist when he meets Maia as he completely falls in love with her, but nonetheless he really loves her, he is compelled to fool her in order to be with her.
Sara Corrales as Cindy
She is ambitious and is used to having everything she wants just for being pretty. She is Rafael’s daughter, never met her mother because she abandoned her few months after she was born. She has problems to be with one man because she is an unfaithful woman at heart; however, she does want to marry Pablo (to her, Herminio) just to make her father leave her the garage where she has always worked.
Enoc Leaño as Othón
[adinserter block=”10″]A talented businessman who made a fortune by marketing flowers. He is a flashy ‘nouveau riche’ who is ashamed of his humble origins. He is Carmen’s husband and Maia’s father, whom he tries to shape at his convenience. He is also Gael’s father, who died at an accident. His wife left him for being a controlling man. He fell in love with Antonia, Carmen’s best friend, when he was young, but their separation was rather painful and so he holds a big grudge against her ever since then, so they both live in a constant battle.
Mara Cuevas as Carmen
A strong and determined woman, she wants to be a role model. She is Othón’s wife and Maia and Gael’s mother. Her son’s tragic death drove her crazy, but the love for her daughter helped her get over it. She decided to be submissive with Othón because he was in love with Antonia, so she stopped being participative and resigned herself to be limited by him. Full of frustration, she vanished for a while, but now she is back with a new spirit.
Gonzalo Peña as Federico
He is a foolish spoiled boy. He is handsome, manipulative, arrogant, and selfish. He lost his family’s money through a bad deal. He wins Othón’s affection because he is Fausto’s son, a notorious politician; but he can’t manage to win Maia’s heart even though he tries. His goal is to give back the financial splendor to his family after fooling Maia.
Aura Cristina Geithner as Antonia
[adinserter block=”10″]She has an impulsive personality; she is the leading entrepreneur in the flower growing industry. She is married to Eligio and is Tatiana’s mother; she is also Pablo’s boss. She doesn’t love her husband, but she used him to pretend she overcame her breakup with Othón, on whom she has been longing to take revenge; thus, when she discovers Pablo and Maia are in love, she uses them to hit Othón where it hurts him the most, without regard of anyone else.
Rodrigo Murray as Eligio
He is a real metrosexual. A refined man of good manners and a loving husband, who enjoys exercising and taking care of his health. He is Antonia’s husband and Tatiana’s father. He has always been proud of his wife’s success, so he manages Antonia’s public relations despite he owns a fairly decent personal wealth.
Christian Chávez as Cristian
He is not in education, employment or training, but he is very skillful with computers. He is Cindy’s friend because he was originally Wilson’s friend. He is lazy and insolent, always trying to get things effortlessly and is constantly looking for a way to take advantage of anything in front of him.
