Polo refuses to believe that Pablo could hurt Manuel especially when he doesn’t carry weapon around unlike Manuel. Raymunda is the only person who still defends her Manuel and speaks ill of Pablo. Ana Perla decides to join them in Mexico to be with Manuel and her grandfather. Pablo freaks out but Mariana asks him to calm down. He refuses to calm down, he lost Ana Perla, and if Manuel dies. He will be responsible for his death, Mariana tells him he is not to be blamed for what happened. The doctor informs Pablo that an operation can hopefully restore his hand. Pablo wants it done as soon as possible. Desperate Mariana insists he returns to her. Pablo reminds her he already told her he wants nothing to do with her. He wants to return to Pueblo and take responsibility for his action. Raymunda refuses to let Ana Perla go to Mexico alone. Blanquita offers to go with her. Raymunda refuses and tells them Mexico is full of bad people. Veronica voice interrupts their conversation. She tells them she already knows about what happen to her brother. Ana Perla tells her Pablo shot him. Martin believes Pablo shot him out of self-defense, but does Raymunda doesn’t cares. Ana Perla tells them the most important things is her brother recovery. she informs them she wants to go to Mexico. Raymunda tells her she is not letting her go to Mexico all by herself. Veronica offers to go with her since she is also going to Mexico.
Pierre and Claudia go to a jewelry shop. She tries a ring and the shop attender asks them if they are looking for an engagement ring. Pierre tells her no, he rather buy a necklace for her. she fakes a smile and thank him. Virginia calls Daniel to update him and promise him a romantic phone call when she returns to her room. Salma and Nicolas join her and she quickly changes the subject and tells her aunt about Claudia. She moves aside and sends Daniel a text message to cancel their phone sex because her aunt just joins them. Virginia is pissed off because she has to put up with her aunt in Cancun. Pierre and Claudia returns to the beach. Emiliano wins the shooting competition. Virginia first congratulate him. Emiliano is surprise to see his mother and Nicolas. he asks of his father. Claudia confronts Pierre about his behavior anytime she talks about marriage. She tells him if he doesn’t intend to marry her it is better they end their relationship. He assures her that he loves her but marriage brings bad luck. Emiliano asks his mother if she had a fight with his father. she tells him Jorge didn’t come because he had work to do. She congratulates them on their engagement and tells them she is very happy for them. Virginia tells her she is very happy. then says to herself she will take everything away from the Prado Castelo. Magdalena prays that she will be able to make Veronica listen to her.

Magdalena narrates the story to them. the priest advises she give Veronica time to accept the truth. Magdalena asks him to talk to Veronica on her behalf. Nancyiaga interrupts her and tells things will get worse. Emiliano wants to go dancing to celebrate his victory. Salma refuses to join them. Mariana calls Virginia and informs her about what happen to Pablo and asks her to speak to Daniel. Virginia introduces Pierre to Salma. Claudia doesn’t waste time in telling her they are dating. She also shows off her new necklace. Emiliano asks them to join them at the club but Claudia refuses. Salma and Virginia talk about Claudia and Pierre relationship. Salma feels sorry for Pierre because Claudia will leave him penniless. Virginia tells her if Claudia stays with Pierre, she won’t interfere in her relationship with Emiliano. She also has to remain friend with Claudia to get information about Veronica and Martin.
Emiliano and Virginia dance and smooch back in the club when he calls her Veronica. Claudia is driving Pierre crazy with her exotic dance move. Emiliano tries to apologies to Virginia but she cuts him off. Nicolas and Salma also dance. he confesses to her that he prefers experience woman not the young ones. Martin leads the group into his apartment. Veronica tells Ana Perla Matilde is the only person she can call her mother. They end up talking about Magdalena. Ana Perla tries to convince her to give Magdalena a chance. Daniel interrupts Crescencio prayers and informs him Manuel’s surgery was successful. Crescencio is relieved but Daniel informs him the next 24hours are very crucial. Crescencio asks Botel to explain what it means. Jorge surprises his wife at her breakfast table in Cancun. Nicolas joins them and Salma informs him they went dancing last night. Veronica calls Jorge secretary to inform her she wants to talk to her uncle. Aaron is with her and listens to their conversation. he is glad he will finally see his daughter. Jorge informs Salma he has decided to share his inheritance to all his children including Veronica. Salma get angry and refuses to accept it. she tells him Veronica doesn’t deserve anything.
Aaron calls Clement and informs him he has already located his daughter, he will soon be a millionaire. Martin informs them that Manuel is stable but the next 24 hours is crucial. Martin hands over the cordless phone to Ana Perla to call her family; she is surprise to see such a phone. Jorge reminds Salma that Veronica is also a Prado Castelo therefore having the same right as Emiliano and Virginia. Salma tells him they are not related to Veronica moreover they have done enough for her. Jorge tells her he understands that for her Veronica is not part of their family unlike Emiliano and Virginia. She is pleased and agreed with him but then he tells her. Veronica will always be his daughter and she will be included in his will whether she likes it or not. The specialist informs Pablo that after the operation he might be able to paint again but it wouldn’t be like before. Pablo asks him for the cost and Mariana tells him not to worry about it. She will lend him the money; he refuses and reminds her if she didn’t show up at Mina Escondida all this won’t happen. Virginia runs into Salma and sees her crying, Salma informs her about Jorge intention to include Veronica in his will. Virginia tells her Veronica already has the gold mine. She won’t allow Veronica to get part of the inheritance; Emiliano shows up and confronts her. He asks what she doesn’t want to allow, that Veronica also get part of the inheritance.
