Clement tells Jorge he contacted an investigator to find out more information about his niece and wishes he can see her. Jorge refuses to give him information about her but tells him he will thinks about it and let him. Virginia pretends to cry and reminds Daniel that she is the one doing all the sacrifices for their well being. Instead of appreciating it he threatens her, he assures her it is not a threat, based on his assessment he is only taking his precautions. She tells him it is not necessary, he tells her he hopes so and orders her to report to him when they get to Cancun. Nancyiaga shows up at the hotel and asks to speak with her boss but he refuses to talk if she wants to insist on her love story. She begs him to listen to her; she has something different to tell him. Martin asks her to promise him if she won’t try to have any problem with his wife. She tells him she won’t but the lies will create some serious problem. Veronica joins them and hopes she is interrupting them, Martin tells her she is not. Veronica asks her what she wants to tell her husband, Nanyciaga tells her to volunteer for the work. Veronica doesn’t believe her and thinks she is doing it just to get closer to Martin. Nancyiaga only wants to help. Polo writes a letter to Dorila, unfortunately she doesn’t know how to read and write, her father can’t afford to send her to school.
Ana Perla and Pablo decide to meet at favorite spot later in the day. Polo and Blanquita visit the San Telmo in their office. Polo asks Veronica if Dorila can join them in school to also learn how to read and write. Aaron gets angry at his brother for not getting any information about Veronica from Jorge. Virginia and Emiliano make it to Cancun, he is a bit worry about her heart but she assures him she is fine. Emiliano promises to compensate her for making her suffer. She tells him she doesn’t need his compassion, he tells her what he feels for her is gratitude and affection. When Veronica got married he lost hope on finding love again. But she made him see that can be happy and find love again. He wants to make to her happy for the rest of his life; he leans towards her and kisses her. Martin informs his mine workers that henceforth Manuel will be working with them. They don’t like the news but they have no choice, Martin appoints Lorenzo to supervise his work. Ana Perla informs her parent about her intention to wear her mother’s gown on her wedding. Martin informs his workers that Veronica is now his partner at the mine and will also be working here. Manuel tells her a woman can’t enter the mine because it brings bad luck and for once all the workers agree with him.

Mariana convinces the cleaner to let her into Pablo’s room, she goes in and notices Ana Perla portrait everywhere. Crescencio get all excited when he sees his granddaughter in her mother’s wedding gown. Lorenzo assures Martin he has nothing against his wife but if a woman enters the mine, they will suffer the consequences. Veronica tells them Cresencio also told them the story, Martin intervenes. Martin wants her to enter the mine to show them that nothing will happen but she refuses. She assures them she won’t enter the mine but promise to still work for the mine and find ways to improve their condition. They all agree and the miners return to their post, Lorenzo apologies to Veronica and tell her it is their tradition. Mariana is still trying to locate Pablo, the new teacher for the school has arrived, and she meets Medel first and asks for direction. Veronica complains to her husband about the miners’ discrimination against the women. He tells her it is not discrimination but their superstition, she tells him she has a lot to learn but thank him for supporting her. Botel and Magdalena join them and Veronica compliments her on her makeover.
Magdalena asks her not to take the miners reaction personal, and they ask to speak with Martin alone. Uspin asks for Medel permission to marry Ireri since he is like a second father to her. Magdalena tells Martin she no longer feels comfortable lying to Veronica about Demetrio. Botel tells him once she starts working with the miners, she will find out that never went bankrupt. They finally tell her they always knew Demetrio was Martin’s brother. Botel tells her they didn’t mention it to her because they didn’t want to get involve in their marriage. Veronica decides not to hold any grudges against them but reminds them what he hate is her life is people lying to her. Pablo informs Cresencio that he already found a house to stay with Ana Perla but Cresencio prefers they stay with him for a while. He doesn’t want to be separated from her, Ana Perla promises to visit him often. Veronica and others inform the new teach about the development they intend to do in the school. Pablo and Ana Perla go to their spot to spend some time alone. Nancyiaga enjoys her apple peacefully when Mariana shows up asking her about Pablo. Nancyiaga doesn’t give her a straight answer but speak in parable.
Pablo and Ana Perla part 2; they start undressing themselves; he gently puts on the floor while kissing her. Mariano shows up and yells his name, she yells at him for cheating on her with this maid while she was busily planning their wedding. She slaps him, Ana Perla starts crying and looks for her dress, and Pablo asks her not to listen to her. Mariana tells her she is Pablo fiancée and his manager; she takes out the wedding invitation and shows it to Ana Perla. Emiliano proposes to Virginia with a ring on a yacht. Martin and Veronica introduces Dorila to the new teacher, she is called Gaby.
Pablo tells Mariana he doesn’t know what wedding she is talking about. He swears to Ana Perla that he already broker with her, Mariana tells him he is lying. He only asks for time and she agreed to give it him while she does the wedding preparation. Pablo tries to touch her but she yells at him and accuses him of lying to her, she tells him he is the worse man on earth. Julio joins them and she runs into his arm and confirms that her grandfather was right, the outsiders are bad. She asks him to take her away from this place, Pablo tries to go after her but Julio stops him. Emiliano admit to Virginia that he is still in love with Veronica but he is ready to forget about her completely and start his life with her. Pablo runs after Ana Perla and Julio; he tries to explain to her but she refuses to listen. Mariana joins them and make matters worse. Pablo insists on talking to her but Julio prevents him and ends up fighting, Julio gets the upper hand and warns him to stay away from Ana Perla.
