Virginia tells Emiliano that Veronica also did horrible things. she tries to leave but he grabs her arm and demands an explanation. Ana Perla quickly hides the book she reads when she hears Don Cresencio opens her bedroom door. he accuses her of being lazy she tells him she can’t do much if she is locked up in her room. he gives her embroidery and tells her to embroider then. Emilianio get angry at Virginia for tarnishing Veronica’s image. he makes her promise him that she is going to get along well with veronica if not she should count their friendship over and Virginia accepts in pretense. Martin is alone stares at Virginia, Jorge approaches him. he tells him it is obvious that is impressed with Virginia. Salma grabs Veronica’s arm and drag her to a corner to question her about Martin. she asks her not to worry she already allocated a place for him. Emiliano joins them and tells his mother to allow Veronica to also enjoy the party. and asks Veronica to open the dance floor with him
Virginia sees veronica dancing with Emiliano and as usual becomes jealous. martin also arrives at the table to ask that Virginia goes to dance with. she tries to sing her national anthem to him she tells him she has a heart problem. she isn’t active like veronica who always wants to be the Centre of attraction everywhere. While they set on the floor to dance Virginia quickly switch partners with veronica. to give her to martin whiles she takes on Emiliano. Emiliano’s father Jorge dances with his wife Salma and after seeing that partners has been switched. veronica is now with martin, he becomes so insecure that veronica might fall in love with martin. veronica is rather the woman he wishes that his son Emiliano ends up marrying. Father Juan complains to Don Cresencio about the way Manuel maltreat the miners. he became the administrator, Don Cresencio says the miners are lazy. he is sure Manuel is doing a good job. He then asked him not to allow Manuel maltreats his granddaughter like that. he tells father that that is how he wishes so that Ana Perla will not end up like a nonentity.

Pablo will be going back to school and Mariana becomes so happy and Salma wished them a success. Mariano then asks pablo if he is very happy with their marriage date. pablo tells her there is not going to be any marriage because he is not ready yet. he has a long way to go with his schooling and can’t promise her anything. Manuel enters the house right after father Juan left. his grandfather Crescencio sits him down to warn him not to treat the workers badly. she should give them what they deserve not in a harsh way. Also he is not to maltreat Ana Perla but just protect her. he shouldn’t disrespect Magdalene and Manuel agrees but he explained to Crescencio that he only did all that to please him but if he is not interested then he is going to do what he wants.
Blanquita visit Ana Perla at home. Crescencio doesn’t allow her to go in Ana Perla’s room so she gives him the bible to be given to her. Crescencio brings the bible to Ana Perla and encourages to her to read. Pablo tells Emiliano he is not used to this kind of party. he is from the province. Virginia and Mariana watch Veronica and Martin chat and talk about them. Virginia tells Mariana she has eye only for Emiliano no one else. she is only flirting with Martin to get Emiliano’s attention. Veronica is pleased Martin thinks she is beautiful but she remind him she doesn’t drive men crazy. Veronica sees the V in Martin’s palm and asks him about it. he tells her he doesn’t want to talk about it.
