Marina tells hernan that she is aware that nothing should have happened between her and damian and she will understand that he cannot forgive her for that but she wanted to be honest with him, hernan tells her that he was afraid of damian’s return but if she decides to keep on with him, they will forget what happened but she must promise him that she will not see damian again and she won’t let him be close to her. Beatriz tells Rebeca that the drops that mother eusebia gave her, makes her feel much better and for hernan and marina’s wedding she cannot be any better, but rebeca reminds her that marina loves damian and if he made her believe the contrary it was for love, because he did not want her to be part of his unpredictable destiny but now that he is free, nothing may separate them.
Hernan tells marina that he knows that she is living a hard moment and he proposes her to make a trip with him wherever she wants but marina tells him that she would be even more confused and hernan tells her that then she may ask him for anything she wants and he will give it to her, marina tells him that he is such a good man that he deserves to be loved. Hernan tells her that she does not love him the way he does love her but she responds that she has never lied to him and she will not do it now. Nereo tells fulgencio that they found eusebia alive and fulgencio furious tells him that their business can go to hell if eusebia survives so he has to kill her.
Doctor san miguel tells damian that he is sorry to tell him that there is nothing to do for his godmother so he must spend with her the last moments. Eusebia dying tells damian that her time on earth is about to finish but wherever she may go she will protect him, that he must only pronounce her name and she will be there for him, she blesses him and dies. Hernan becomes furious when he finds out that marina went out with a group of workers to look for eusebia, hernan furious also tries to stop her for going to the burial of eusebia because he does not want her to see damian, he tells her that he won’t be the mocking of the people in town and marina upset tells him that the only thing he cares about is his pride so they better break up and she gives the engagement ring back to him.
Hernan asks her to forgive him and give him another chance. Beatriz tells marina that hernan’s reaction is comprehensible and she must give him another opportunity but marina tells her that she won’t because his attitude confuses her even more and that she has discover a part of him that she does not like at all, rebeca tells marina to break her compromise with hernan once and for all.
Hernan tells damian that marina confesses that they kissed each other but he does not want this to happen again so he must stay away from her, damian tells him that if marina does not want anything with him he will not get close to her anymore, but if on the contrary, he realizes that marina still loves him there will not be any human power to stop him to fight for her. Damian receives the condolences of jose, mercedes and ursula.
