During the mass, mayuya shouts marina that she is damian’s lover and that she is guilty of esthercita’s death, hernan tells mayuya that she is accusing marina in god’s house without any foundation and that her mad shouts are starting to fed him up, mayuya keeps on telling marina that she has no shame because she is still lying with damian, hernan tells her that marina does not have any relationship with damian because she is his fiancée and they will get married. Precisely in that moment damian arrives and asks him that how can he say that he is going to marry marina, hernan responds that he did it to change the conversation but damian warns him to put distance with marina because she is his woman.
Beatriz tells damian that she has a tumor that cannot be operated and she is going to die, that is why she is worried about marina’s future and she wants him to promise her that he will leave her because the man who is right for her is hernan, damian tearful, asks her is she has thought about her daughter’s feelings, because they love each other and she will not be happy with hernan. Hernan tells beatriz that she pretend her illness very well so this means that she will do what he asked her to do, but beatriz tells him that she said she was not going to pretend with marina and much less in god’s house, she truly felt bad when she saw how they were insulting her daughter and she asked damian to stay away from her but he asked her time to show her that he deserves marina’s love, hernan becomes furious. Fulgencio mocking tells hernan that is was fool of him to shout in front of all the people that he will marry marina, that he just looked ridiculous and he tells fulgencio that he will marry marina but he does not know when.
