Hernan keep on trying to convince marina to accept that damian could be dead, she tells him that she is sure that he is alive. Mercedes visits eusebia and she tells her that she knows she had twins, that one of them was taken away from her arms almost newly born and the other one is marina and that sooner that she can imagine her pain will end, but another pain even worse, may start, that what she desires most will cause her a lot of Pain. Mercedes tells her that she is right and that this is a truth that almost anyone knows, eusebia tells her that she will not say a single word of it. Mercedes tells her that she knows what has happened to damian and she will use all the money it may be necessary to find him.
Beatriz asks marina if she had fun with hernan and she tells her that she went to antigua that it is a very pretty place and that hernan told her a little of the story of that place but she cannot stop thinking of damian. Lazaro asks lagarto if they found damian and he responds they didn’t but they will find him even they spend all their lives in the attempt because eusebia says he is alive and she is never mistaken. Mayuya insists on making delfina believe that the only one guilty of all the bad things that happened in the town is marina, she tells her that she did everything possible to seduce damian to take him away from esthercita, delfina responds that marina had many troubles with esthercita and that she is the only one guilty and she will never forgive her.
Fulgencio asks lagarto if they have any news and he responds that they have no news, then marina assures him that they will find them but fulgencio tells her that she has nothing to say about it and that everybody in town is saying that she is a bad woman who became damian’s lover and that she should leave the town, the tempest’s crew warn fulgencio not to be disrespectful to marina because damian is not here to defend her but they are. Someone throws a letter inside beatriz’ house saying insults and threats to marina, jose assures rebeca that he won’t let anyone harm them. Beatriz tells marina that in moments like this is when she misses her dad the most, marina tells her that she knows how much she loved him, that is why she wants her to understand that the heart does not obey orders, it just loves and she loves damian and when she finds him she will be with him and she would like to have her approval, beatriz tells her that she only wants to see her married and happy with a good man who loves her and that he may deserve her.
Beatriz tells rebeca that the man who is convenient for marina is hernan saldana. Jose tells mercedes that the divers she hired confirmed that the explosion of the sail ship where damian and esthercita were was provoked. Fulgencio furious tells hernan that he murdered his daughter and that he is going to kill him.
