Beatriz finds some of her studies and she finds out that she has a tumor that cannot be operated. Damian upset, tells esthercita that there is no point in threatening him because she will not get anything else, esthercita asks him what can she do so he may love her even a little, Damian responds that she can do nothing, because she has done everything she wanted but she cannot demand him more than he offered her, because he never lied to her. Fulgencio categorically, warns nereo and valdivia that they must not dare to touch lazaro or he will kill them, nereo tells him that lazaro is spying on them and that he fell in love with jazmin so he cannot send him away, besides he (fulgencio) has told them that they can kill anyone who interferes with their business, but fulgencio tells them that this rule does not apply to lazaro.
Esthercita tells damian that if this trip is a farewell, she wants him to make love to her, damian tells her that it is not right, because making love do not change anything, because anyway they will separate and if he makes love to her he will be thinking of marina, who is the woman he loves. Nereo and valdivia demand an explanation to fulgencio why he does not want them to kill lazaro and he tells them that it would be a scandal if the priest’s nephew is found dead, so they will send more federal police. Mercedes tells leona and chivis that she did not abandon her daughter, that she gave her to her father while she searched for her other daughter but unfortunately ariel died and as she has not found magdalena she has not told marina the truth because she is loved and cared by beatriz who is a very good woman, instead she does not know anything of magdalena and she is afraid she can be dead.
Nereo sets lazaro free warning him that if he says something that exposes them, jazmin will pay the consequences. Beatriz tells rebeca that she knows she is going to die and she is anguished that marina does not know that she is not her biological mother, she tells her that ariel gave marina to her newborn and told her that he made a promise to her mother but she (beatriz) told him that she accepted the baby but she did not want to know anything of her mother and ariel died without telling her what was the promise and who was she. Beatriz asks her sister not to tell marina about this, and rebeca answers that marina is a woman now and she has the right to know about her origin.
Marina tells her mother and her aunt that she loves damian and as soon they arrive from their trip he will divorce esthercita to marry her. Marina tells hernan that she is sorry for not feel the same for him but the love she feels for damian is stronger than anything else. The sail ship where damian and esthercita are travelling explodes.
