Damian hesitates whether to accept esthercita as his wife but, he remembers eusebia’s words that one should always keep one’s word so, in the end, he accepts. Esthercita tells damian they are going to ride in a car, around the main streets in the town, before going to her house for the banquet. Damian tells her he cannot do that because a problem came up at the packaging company which he has to solve. Esthercita remains furious.
