Marina tells damian that she never thought she would ever fall in love, that she thought that would never happen to her. They kiss each other and marina falls asleep in his arms. Esthercita goes to look for him and demands that he let go of marina. Damian tells her he is not going to do That because marina fainted. Esthercita, furious, tells him she is no fool and that she knows that marina is chasing after him and is just trying to attract his attention. Damian tells esthercita that he is going to take marina home and that he will go back so they can talk. Esthercita remains furious.
Damian tells olinto that marina drank half a bottle of tequila and that she fainted in front of him so he is going to take her home. Olinto tells him he should not take her to her home in that state because mercedes artigas is there and she wants to speak with her. Damian tells him that, in that case, they are going to have to make her get sober again. When bagre sees damian, he asks him what happened to marina. Damian tells him that she confessed to him that she loves him but that she must have said it under the effect of the alcohol.
Bagre tells him that if a young lady goes to see him in a saloon and drinks cheap tequila with him, it means she is in love with him. Mercedes is shocked to see a photograph of beatriz carrying marina as a baby, next to ariel. Beatriz tells rebeca that mercedes is a very elegant woman and that there is something about her that reminds her of marina, as if there were some kind of tie binding them together.
Mercedes tells marina that she heard of damian’s resignation and that that could affect her plans because she had obtained a very good contract and that that is why she offered her the ownership of half of the packaging company. But that, without damian’s help, it will be impossible to fulfill the contract; so, her challenge is going to be to convince him to go back to work for the packaging company. Damian tells eusebia that the night before, marina went to see him in the saloon and that she had confessed to him that she loved him. Eusebia, excited, tells him she knew it; she asks him what he is going to do about it.
Damian tells her that there was a moment when he thought things were going to change but, they aren’t; that soon, he will be getting married to esthercita and that marina reverte will be nothing but a lovely memory. Marina tells bagre they have a very big responsibility to fulfill with the packaging company and that if they don’t fulfill it they will have to shut the company down and everybody, including her, will be left without a job. Hernan tells lieutenant lara that now that he is about to blow damian up into the air and, with marina in her home, it is the right moment to make the packaging company disappear; but, that it has to be something subtle so the federal police, who are roaming around the place, won’t suspect anything.
Esthercita is waiting for damian, in her wedding gown. Bagre and marina are surprised to see damian arrive to the boat. Marina tells him he should be in the church. Damian tells her he knows they have a contract and that if they don’t fulfill it, many people are going to be left without a job. Marina tells him they can talk about it when he gets back from his honeymoon. Damian tells her there is to be no honeymoon; that as soon as the priest gives him and esthercita his blessing, he will return so they can set sail. During the religious ceremony, esthercita accepts damian as he lawful wedded husband. Damian hesitates.
