Fulgencio is furious because damian hasn’t arrived to the church for the wedding rehearsal so, he tells the priest and his daughter, that the wedding is cancelled. Marina tells damian he cannot resign because he signed a contract and he knows what the consequences would be. Damian tells her he doesn’t care, that what hurts him more is her indifference and his having to pretend he is nothing but an employee. Marina tells him he doesn’t need to pretend because that is what he is. Damian tells her she Is right but that he has feelings too and that he cannot stand seeing her without yearning to kiss her and hug her.
Hernan tells nereo to order jazmin to seduce commander robles so she takes all the information she can from him. Marina tells olinto that damian has resigned so she is going to tell the packaging company lawyers to force him to fulfill his contract. Olinto tells her that she will not achieve anything with threats that she should settle the matter in a peaceful way. Damian gives esthercita the engagement ring; he tells her he doesn’t like all that business of rehearsals nor any of those things.
Fulgencio tells his daughter to show a bit of dignity and to stop groveling at damian’s feet. Damian tells esthercita that after the wedding, he is going to go off on a trip alone because he needs to order his thoughts. Marina, upset, warns hernan that if he ever kisses her again without her consent, she will never see him again not even as a friend. Fulgencio tells damian that the wedding with esthercita has been cancelled. She, tearful, tells fulgencio that if he cancels the wedding she will commit suicide.
Lazaro tells nereo that candy is going to assign jazmin as a waitress and that he wants his permission to date her. Nereo, furious, hits him and tells him that whatever he decides to do with jazmin is his business alone. Marina informs the crew of the boat “the tempest” that damian has resigned but that the boat belongs to the packaging company and she appoints bagre as the capitan; but, they all resign because they won’t acknowledge anybody else as their captain, but damian.
Bagre tells her that she must have done something to damian to make him resign. Damian arrives and tells them that marina did not do anything, that it was his decision and that they have to accept the offer marina made them because “la tempestad” has to go on working with or without him. Damian, furious, confronts nereo. He tells him that he should not have meddled with lazaro who simply wanted to speak with him; and, damian hits nereo.
Fulgencio becomes upset when he hears rosario speaking ill about esthercita so he tells her she is very good at talking about other people but that he would like to know who the father of her son is because, as far as he knows, she never got married. Marina tells damian that she has news for him. Damian asks her what it is and hernan tells him that the news is that he is to be the new captain of “la tempestad”.
