Lorenzo offers a drink to Muloy for him to relax before they can talk about Carlos, Muloy tells him Carlos real family is the Napkil, Gael and Carlos are brothers that is the reason why he is so angry at Gael, because he sold him and now he is also in love with Mia, Carlos doesn’t want to accept his family and as his friend he can’t let this happen, Muloy tells him he came to see him to asks him for permission because he intends to tell the truth to the Napkil, Lorenzo asks him to hold down for a while, Carlos apologies to Mia, she says nothing but cries, he asks her to listen to him but she refuses and tells him there is nothing to talk about, Carlos begs her and tells her his life is meaningless without her, he can’t survive without her, she asks him to go home, he asks her if she is calling the wedding off, but she tells him to go home, Carlos leaves and she starts crying, Lorenzo asks someone on phone, to wait outside and make sure he doesn’t fail this time, Muloy mistakenly pour drink on some documents , he opens it and realized it is JR’s death certificate, he quickly put it back, when Lorenzo shows up he tries to leave but Lorenzo stops him, and asks him if he has nothing to ask him, actually he saw Muloy puts the death certificate back in the folder, Muloy asks him why he decided to hide the truth from the Napkil family, Lorenzo tells him it is the best thing to do, but Muloy disagrees, and tells him if he is capable for faking JR’s death, what else he is hiding just to keep Carlos away from his family, and question him about all the things he did to Gael, and asks him what is his next move.
Lorenzo asks him what is the assurance that Carlos will be happy with the Nakpil, Muloy tells once the know the truth they will withdraw all the charges against Carlos, and reconcile, Lorenzo tells him he doesn’t know the Nakpil, Muloy asks him if he does, Lorenzo doesn’t say a word but from his expression Muloy is able to get his own answer, Lorenzo asks him to leave, but Muloy insists on knowing the truth, he finally gets Lorenzo to admit that he knows the Manuel and Marilen very well, and warns him that things will get worse if he reveals the truth, because they betrayed him, and when they find out the truth they will thinks he took Carlos as revenge, but Muloy reminds that is exactly what he is doing, by the keeping the truth away from them and Carlos, Lorenzo warns him not to make things worse but Muloy insists telling the truth will solve everything and reminds him that whether he keeps the truth away from Carlos or not, he can’t change the fact that he is Manuel Nakpil Junior, Lorenzo gets angry and tells him he is not Manuel Nakpil Junior, he is Carlos Antonio, he made, mold and raised him so Muloy should not dare go against him, Muloy tells him he will do what he should have done long ago and tries to leave but Lorenzo stop him and strangles him to death, Mia’s father tries to find out what is preoccupying her and assures her that Carlos loves her, and will never turn his back on her, Lorenzo gives instruction to one of the guards, it is weeding day and the Nakpil family especially Gael is worried because they have not heard from the court.
