Melesio and Dominga tell Severiano and Candela that they are ready to face any consequences for their action, and informs them they can’t work for them anymore, Severiano threatens then asks them to leave his house first thing tomorrow morning, and warns them never to set foot in his house again, Severiano informs Jacinto he is taken Melesio’s position in the ranch, Jacinto also informs him that most workers refuse to work for him because of Father Jeronimo’s arrest, Severiano tells him they are fired and orders him to search for new workers, Christobal asks for Dominga during breakfast and Candela informs him she no longer works for them because they helped the priest, they start arguing until he tells her he has decided not to talk to them until they release they priest, Candela tells him Valeria spoke to her and she intend to convince his dad to drop the charge, Christobal quietly gets up from the table and walks away without saying a word to her, Mari informs her dad, her mother left home very early, he decides to advise her to stop fighting with Lola over Emmanuel, she reproaches her parent for not taking her side.
Emma confronts Lola about what Mari said to her but Lola denies it, she is thankful to Emma for treating her like her own child, but she would not tell Mari that Emma like her better, Melesio and Dominga show up with their suitcase to interrupt their conversation, they inform her they no longer work in the hacienda.

Candela goes to the Candy shop to buy some chocolate for Christobal but the lady refuses to sell it to her, she advises Candela to buy it from another shop because she won’t sell her chocolate to someone who send the priest to prison, Candela angrily storms out of the shop, some kids wait for her at her car, as soon as they see her, they start throwing tomatoes at her, the priest asks Christobal not to be worry about him, he did what he was supposed to do, he advises him not to judge his parents, because for them, they are protecting him (Christobal), and assures him he will continue to insist until they accept the truth. Aldonza takes Melesio and Dominga to their room, she apologies for it state, Domingo offers to help Adelina with the house chores and Melesio can take up Emmanuel’s job, Dominga later informs her that Valeria is living in the Hacienda. Candela comes home very furious, and tells her husband what happen to her, and asks him to drop the charges against the priest but he refuses, they continue with their argument until he tells him to either drop the charges or move out of her house, Christobal got hurt and they brought him home, Valeria offers to help him in bed, she takes advantages and caresses him all in the name of am a doctor’s daughter.
Adelina gives Aldonza’s wedding ring back to her, and encourages her to get over the rape trauma so she can be a complete wife to Christobal, the police officers shows up to arrest Adriano but the caretaker informs him they had already left, Renato confesses to Silvia that he won’t up on Aldonza until she and Christobal get married, Aldonza goes to her father grave to thank him for keeping an eye on her, the maid informs Candela that Severiano left the house very early, Candela decides to call him but she gets his voice’s mail, she tells him if he doesn’t do as she said it will be war, Flavia begs Adriano to let her stay in town but he refuses, they continue to argue until the police show up to arrest him, Adriano removes his gun and takes her as hostage.
