The doctor examines Candela and informs her she no longer have to wear the brace. Candela tells him she wants to him a little longer; he assures her it isn’t necessary. The doctor leaves and Dominga reproaches for wanting to have the brace on to make Christobal do whatever she wants. Tomas gives an image of a Saint to the priest as his goodbye gifts; Tomas thanks him for everything he did for him. Christobal goes to look for Valeria in her house but the maid tells him she left the house very early this morning to San Miguel. Valeria goes to another clinic to have the abortion. The doctor gives her forms to read through, but she tells her the most important things is that the pregnancy should not be more than 12 weeks. They also need an ultrasound, Valeria asks her not to worry; she will do it and bring it. The doctor tells her the ultrasound has to be done in their clinic, Valeria wonders why. She tells her it is for own good. Christobal calls Valeria but she refuses to pick so he leaves a message. Mari recalls the day she saw Lola with the loan man and the conversation she had with her dad. Irma enters her room and asks her if she isn’t going to work. She says yes, Irma assures her it is not the right way to solve her problem with Pato.
Dominga asks Prudencia if she intends to divorce Severiano, candela tells her of course yes. Dominga reminds her she always cared about what people in town will say if she divorce Severiano. Candela tells her for many years, she stayed with Severiano to avoid any scandals. Christobal is now a man so he will understand; she has evidence of his infidelity with Roberta. The priest asks Lulu to stop crying because he isn’t dead; he is only going to another town. He assures her she will get along with the new priest, as that moment the new priest arrives. The inspector submit the result to Aldonza, once again they have no proof to incriminate Severiano for the death of Adelina. He also informs her that her bullets matches Severiano’s gun. Emmanuel asks Aldonza to explain to him the bullet issue. She agrees to tell him the truth about their mother but warns him he won’t like it. Emmanuel suggests to Aldonza they accuse Severiano of killing her father, since the bullet belongs to his gun. Aldonza refuses because she doesn’t know if Severiano indeed killed him. Moreover she doesn’t want to tarnish their mother image. Javier is still watching Aldonza moves as requested by Severiano. Silvia hands over her resignation letter to Renato in tears.
Christobal confronts Valeria about what he just found out. He now understands why he can’t remember what happen that night. Because nothing actually happen, she asks him what he is talking about. He grabs her arms and drags her to a corner and asks her how can she lie to him about her pregnancy. Why should she tell him the baby is his, she tells him the baby is really his. He asks her to keep quiet, how can she use a pregnancy to blackmail him. She tells him she doesn’t know what his father told him but she, Christobal interrupts her. “What, my father knows”, Valeria asks him if he wasn’t the one who told him. He says no, her gynecologist did, because she is planning to abort it. He was worried so he decided to talk to him thinking he was the father of her child. He tells her he is very glad at least nothing binds them anymore. She tries to make an excuse but he tells her she is 12 weeks so it is clear enough that her child isn’t his. Renato refuses to accept Silvia’s resignation and wants to know what happen.

Prudencia goes to Humberto to discuss about their problem; she runs into his cabinet and grabs a bottle of pills. Before he could stop her she pour almost half the container into her mouth. Humberto tells her she needs professional help, she tells him what she need is him. She kisses him and runs off; Christobal goes to visit his father, as soon as he comes out. Christobal asks him why he didn’t tell him if he knew about it. Severiano tells him he doesn’t know what he is talking about, Christobal tells Valeria pregnancy. He knew he wasn’t the father of her child and said nothing to him. Severiano asks him who told him, he says it is not important but if he wants know. Her doctor did, and Valeria herself confirm he also knew about it. Severiano assures him he didn’t know, he only overheard Mari asking Valeria if her child belongs to her brother Abelardo. Aldonza throws flowers in the river and recalls the day Christobal propose to her.
She felt someone was watching so she quickly turn but doesn’t see anyone. Emmanuel soon appears from another direction and tells him about it. He wants to check it but she tells him not need, may be it is an animal. Dominga tries to convince Candela to come with her to Father Jerinomo farewell but she refuses. Christobal informs Humberto that Valeria child isn’t his. Humberto get angry at him but Christobal tells him he got to know after his visit to her doctor. Humberto asks him if the child isn’t his then whose, Christobal tells him may be Abelardo Largos. He also informs Humberto that she is 12 weeks pregnant and planning to have an abortion. An old man reads a book near a table full of candy; his grandson joins him with his laptop and asks him he said he came from Santa Lucia. The old man says yes, his grandson tells him about Lola’s message; the old man tries to remember if he knows any Lola. But nothing, he decides to reads the message to his grandfather. The old man remembers Marga, he recalls the letter and the engagement ring he left he put inside the candy house. He asks her to run away with her but she didn’t show up.
He later learnt her parent send her to boarding school, he tells his grandson to tell Lola that he is died. Mari runs after Lola in town, Lola tells her if she wants to talk to about Pato. No need moreover she is on her way to say goodbye to the priest. Mari asks her why she decided to scarify all her saving to save her mother’s shop. Lola tells her she did to save her job, and she also considers them as family. Pato runs into Emmanuel in the street, Emmanuel asks him about his relationship with Lola. Pato tells him they have already broken up; he decided to let her go because she didn’t love him. She has always been in love with him and he hopes he makes her happy if not he will deal with him. Time for the priest to leave, Christobal and Emmanuel join him and Aldonza in the parish. They get to the gate and the whole town is gathered with Candle and flowers. Candela also prays for his safety and cries back in her small chapel.
