Christobal yells and quickly joins her downstairs, Severiano and Valeria also joins them. Candela lays motionless and cries of pain. Severiano calls the Clinic but the receptionist informs him Humberto is not around. Emmanuel recalls his conversation with Aldonza and cries. Severiano calls Humberto cellphone but Humberto is fast asleep after drinking almost a full bottle of whisky. Candela is taken to her bed, but she is still crying in pain. Renato and his father run into Don Antonio and Veronica at a restaurant. Don Antonio asks Renato if he has heard from Emmanuel. He was supposed to join them for breakfast but he didn’t show up. He says no, but Aldonza found out something about him that will affect him very much. He informs them that Emmanuel is Aldonza’s brother, and his father is Severiano Mendoza. Severiano scolds Valeria because her father is not picking his call. Christobal asks him to stop, and suggest they find another doctor. Christobal tells Valeria that Emmanuel is the son of his father and Roberta. His parents and her father hid the truth from everyone. Valeria asks Severiano if it is true, he says yes.
Christobal must be satisfied now with what just happen to his mother. Severiano accuses Christobal of intentionally pushing his mother and reminds him he is angry at his mother. Joaquin comes home and Flavia informs him she has prepared his meals. He reminds her they are no longer a couple and asks her not to do anything for him. He confronts her about Gonzalo and she admits she had a relationship with him when they were in Mexico. Renato goes to the bar to look for Emmanuel and informs Aldonza that he is not around. Aldonza tells Renato she is worried about Emmanuel. She hopes he hasn’t left town again, he asks her to calm down. Emmanuel needs time to digest the news he just received. Mari sees Emmanuel in town and tries to talk to him but he pays no attention to her and leaves. Emmanuel goes to a bar to drink his sorrows away. Aldonza meets Don Antonio at a café, to talk about Emmanuel. She confesses to him that Severiano also destroyed her life, he raped her. Don Antonio also confesses to her that Severiano also raped his younger sister. She could not bear the pain so she committed suicide. Don Antonio wipes his tears and apologies for telling her this. He informs her about his loaded gun with Severiano’s name on it.

Tomas wonders why Silvia sent him instead of coming herself, and asks him if she is trying to avoid him. Silvia visits the priest to talk about Tomas; she wants to know what he thinks about Tomas. She is a bit confused about her conversation with Prudencia. The priest admits that Prudencia is someone who likes manipulating other. But she is somehow right about him, Tomas is careless. He made a lot of mistakes in the past which he is trying to correct them. Adelina asks Aldonza if Emmanuel took the news well. She tells her on the contrary, he thinks she always knew about it and didn’t tell him. She speaks harshly to Adelina who thinks she is not being unfair. Aldonza admits that she loves her and grateful for all she has done for her. But the truth is she no longer trusts her, Adelina assures her she won’t disturb her again. Silvia tells the priest about her feeling for Tomas and wonders if she should accept his invitation.
Christobal asks Jacinto to bring some drugs for his mum. He leaves his phone in her room and goes to check on his mother. Aldonza asks Joaquin if he heard anything about Emmanuel. He says no, he checks at Humberto but he isn’t there. He suggests they check the bar, Aldonza tells him Renato has already been there. He asks her to relax if by tomorrow he is not back, they will inform the police. She decides to call Christobal but Valeria put the phone off and Aldonza gets his voice mail. She later puts the phone on and listen to the message, then delete it and put is back before he returns. Christobal comes back to check on her and gives him his phone. Pato tells Silvia he thinks Renato is jealous of her relationship with Tomas. Mari tells her mother about her encounter with Emmanuel. She asks her mother to inform Lola that he is at the bar. Candela complains of pains, Christobal suggests they take her to the hospital but she refuses.
She wants to be closer to him, and asks him to swear he won’t leave the house. He tells her not to use her situation to cover up for what she and Severiano did to his brother. She starts crying and swears she will kill herself if he leaves the house. Aldonza shows up with Camilo at Las Animals and demands to speak with Christobal. Severiano reminds Christobal about what the doctor told them and begs him not to leave the house, Candela needs him.
