Adelina tells Aldonza the married man she was in love with is her father. She apologies to her for falling in love with her sister’s husband. Aldonza asks her is it was her greatest secret she spoke about. Adelina tells her yes, Aldonza assures her she is not angry on the contrary she thinks Adelina would have made her father happy. Aldonza tells her there is nothing to be ashamed off and suggests she doesn’t hide his picture anymore. Renato reminds his father that Flavia is still legally married. Her husband is also his partner moreover they both have nothing in common. Gonzalo remind him he is also doing the same with Aldonza but Renato tells him it is not the same. Father Jeronimo assures Joaquin that even if he divorce Flavia. In the eyes of the church, Holy Matrimony can never be dissolved. Tomas assures his father is didn’t assault Prudencia. His father suggests they ask Silvia for advice. Candela once again tries to convince Christobal to forget about Aldonza but he refuses. Adelina comes home and Aldonza welcomes her with question about her sister’s body. Adelina starts crying and tells her the real father of the child buried her elsewhere. Her father wasn’t responsible for her mother pregnancy; it was Severiano Mendoza’s child. Adelina narrates to her what happen the night her mother gave birth. Aldonza asks her where her sister is, Adelina tells her she doesn’t know.
She only had her own suspicious but nothing to prove it, Aldonza then decides to go and asks Severiano. Joaquin tells Flavia she can move back in the house, she tries to kiss him but he refuses. He tells her they are not getting back; he is only doing it for the sake of their son. Aldonza storms into Severiano’s house and tries to go in but one of the workers tries to prevent her. Severiano arrives just at that moment and orders her to leave his property; she asks him where her sister is. He yells at her to leave, she also yells back demand to know what he did to her sister. Severiano admits that he had a daughter with her mother but the child was stillborn. He asks her to leave and tries to go inside but she follows him and tries to hold him back. Severiano raises his hand about to hit her when Christobal shows up. Aldonza informs him that his father and her mother had a child but they have no record of that child. Christobal follows him inside and demand the truth; he wants to know where that child was buried. Severiano tells him it is not important, Christobal assures him it is very important for him. Severiano tells him not to listen to Aldonza, she is going crazy.
Christobal tells him if there is someone going crazy. It is him Severiano, Severiano gets angry and slaps him; Candela hears them and joins them. Christobal tells her he is sure she is also aware of the whole thing after all they are both accomplice. He tells them on days like today, he feels cursed to have them as parent. Severiano tells Candela the truth is already out but they still don’t have any idea who the child is. Renato tries to calm Adelina down but she refuses and decides to go search for Aldonza. Flavia informs Gonzalo she is returning home to her husband and son. Christobal goes to see Aldonza in the house; Camilo tells him she is not in. Renato comes out and they start with their usual arguments. Christobal tells him when Aldonza comes home he should inform her they need to talk about their sister. Christobal leaves without giving details, Renato shouts asking him which sister. Aldonza shows up at Humberto’s office demanding to know who the parents of Emmanuel are. Adelina also shows up and begs Humberto to tell them the truth. Humberto confirms their suspicion; Emmanuel is the son of Roberta and Severiano. He assures her he kept quiet to protect Roberta, Aldonza reminds him that they had no right to deny Emmanuel a family. She decides to tell Emmanuel but Humberto asks her not to. He begs her to allow him tell the truth to Emmanuel but she refuses and leaves.
