Shadows Of The Past Episode 107
Tomas comes home and they welcome him warmly, his father asks him to return home. He agrees to return but he wants to pay rent to prove to them that he has changed. Christobal comes to Aldonza’s house, the priest lets him in. As soon as Adelina sees him she blames his parent for what happened. The priest reminds her that Christobal isn’t to be blamed for their action. He is also worried about Aldonza, she asks him not to worry about them. Aldonza hides on staircase and eavesdrops on their conversation. The police interrupt Emmanuel, Veronica and Don Antonio and inform Emmanuel is under arrest. Pato joins Lola in Humberto’s office, she tells him he already have an answer to his proposal. Pato asks her to take her time and thinks through, he doesn’t even allow her to speak. She uses her hand to cover to mouth so she can also speak. She sadly tells him she accept his proposal. Pato quickly hugs her, and starts kissing her all over but she asks him to keep it a secret. Don Antonio asks Emmanuel not to worry and the police take him away. Prudencia narrates to Valeria what she did at Aldonza’s house. Christobal comes there and she happily welcomes him. He tells her he will forget she is his Godmother, if she ever goes near Aldonza again. She asks him to excuse her; she doesn’t regret what she did a bit. Aldonza ruined the life of her daughter. She is also the reason why her husband wants to divorce her.
She gave Aldonza what she deserved. He tells her she is crazy, but his insult didn’t stop Prudencia from continuing with her allegation. Christobal asks Valeria if she also took part in it, she says no, he tells them Aldonza did nothing to them. He warns them that if Aldonza get any form of attack from them again. He will make them pay and leave, Valeria warns her never to forgive her if Christobal get mad at her. Silvia recalls the day she and Renato kissed, someone knock at her door. It is Pato, she asks him to come in, and he tells her Lola accepted him but he makes her swear not to tell anyone. Valeria tells her mother to make sure Christobal and his family do not suspect that she support what she did to Aldonza. Prudencia asks her not to worry, she would take full responsibility. Valeria asks her if she thought of the consequences, she could be arrested. Prudencia tells her not to worry, if so then they will arrest half of the town. Severiano tells him he hopes he is now convinced that his mother and him have nothing to do with what happened. He tells Christobal that Aldonza may be as innocent as he thinks. Candela tells him whether he like it or not Aldonza is just like her mother.
Christobal asks her is it because she had relationship with his father same as Simoeneta too. Lola asks Aldonza is Christobal and his mother know what Severiano did to her. She says no, the only people who know are Adelina and her. Lola asks her to tell the truth to Christobal but she refuses. She tells her she is knows Christobal, he will be capable of killing his own father if she find out the truth. Christobal walks pass Mari and enter Renato’s office. He yells at Renato for saying he will protect Aldonza but does nothing when was almost killed last night. Candela visit the priest and assures him she and her husband have nothing to do with what happen to his niece. He tells her he doesn’t believe her, she tells him she swears on her son’s life. He reminds her not to use the name of the Lord in vain. Not to talk of swearing on her own son’s life and advises she swears on her own life. She admits that he hates Aldonza for destroying Christobal’s life but she is not a murder. She begs him to believe her, he tells her he believes her. He confesses to her that if he hadn’t becomes a priest, she would have been the woman of his life. Renato tries to convince Aldonza to press charges against Prudencia. Father Jeronimo visits Humberto in his clinic. He tells him he came to discuss what his wife Prudencia did last night. He tells Humberto she organized a group of people and they attack Aldonza in the house. Lola makes Aldonza swear she won’t tell anyone, especially her grandparent. She confesses to Aldonza she was at the clinic last night.
Pato proposed to her but she swallowed the ring. She hands over the x-ray result to Aldonza to see the ring. Don Antonio visits Emmanuel in jail; he tells him he will have his lawyer help him. Emmanuel tells him he did steal from the ranch and narrates to him what happen. Severiano decides to forge Christobal’s signature so he can put Emmanuel in jail. Mari sees Lola in town and makes fun at her for swallow her engagement ring. Severiano calls Christobal and Candela to his office to inform them that Emmanuel has been arrested. Christobal tries to talk but he stops him and tells him he doesn’t care about what he is going to say. He later asks Christobal if he has anything to say, Christobal says yes. He tells Severiano he is miserable, and every day that passed he regrets to be his son and walks out of his office. Candela shakes her head and follows her son.
