Severiano insists on knowing who the father of her child is, she tells him it is Christobal but he yells at her and asks her to stop lying. Valeria and her mother try to convince him otherwise but he tells them he is sure of what he head and he realized that she doesn’t love his son; she is only trying to take advantage of him. He tells her she is worse than Aldonza but Valeria begs him not to compare her to Aldonza, she is much better than her. Severiano tells her he doubts it, he asks the maid about Christobal whereabouts but she tells him she has no idea. Prudencia advises her daughter to leave the house before Christobal comes home but she refuses. She assures her mother Severiano won’t tell Christobal and reminds her that her pregnancy is what they are using to blackmail him not to marry Aldonza. Humberto is angry but Candela asks him to calm down. She tells him he should rather celebrate instead, but he tells her how possible can Valeria get pregnant when she is not even married.
She will end up a single mother because he doubts if Christobal will leave Aldonza to marry Valeria. Candela tells him she will make sure they do. Humberto sarcastically tells her so that they have a marriage like hers. Severiano goes to visit the bishop; he tells him he has a very delicate issue to discuss with him concerning Father Jeronimo. Adelina tells the priest she intends to tell the truth to Aldonza about what happen the night of the birth of either her brother or sister. She tells him she wanted to tell her the night before but Aldonza was already in pain due to her break up with Christobal. He advises her to tell the truth before she hears it from someone else. Candela comes to Valeria’s room to let her know that she has already informed her dad about her pregnancy but she notices that she is a bit nervous. Valeria hesitates then tells her she is worried about the whole issue. She is worried that Christobal won’t marry her she will end up a single mother.

He reminds her of how she and Valeria treated Emmanuel because he was an illegitimate child. They even refer to him as a bastard, but now her daughter, is also on the same part. What worries him is the child; just like Emmanuel they are both not to be blame. The maid informs Christobal that his father wants to talk to him but he is out at the moment. He asks her to let him know as soon as his father returns. He sees Valeria but ignores her and leaves; Valeria tells the maid not to bother and informs Severiano when he comes. Valeria enters Severiano office and tries to convince him not to tell Christobal about what he found out.
Aldonza tells Candela not to worry about her relationship with Christobal anymore because early tomorrow morning, she intends to sign the divorce papers. Severiano agrees to keep Valeria secret and make her wish to marry Christobal comes true on condition that she helps him convince her dad to sell El Santuario to him. Christobal knocks interrupts their conversation, Severiano asks Valeria to hide. Severiano tells him to do the right things and marry Valeria but he tells her he won’t and asks them to stop meddling in his affair. Candela waits for Dominga and Melesio, she tells them she regrets what happened and wish they return to work for her and gives them a check. Christobal visits Humberto and assures him he will take responsibility of the child but he has no intention of marrying Valeria.
Tomas interrupts Silvia’s prayer and start flirting with her she ignores him at first but later plays along. Veronica sneaks into Emmanuel’s room and tries to wake him up but she doesn’t respond so she decides to sleep by him and holds him tight. Don Antonio enters his room and sees them together in bed. Lola tells Aldonza that she suspects Valeria child is for Aberlado not Christobal.
