Bridges of Love Episode 74
Mia informs her parent she visited Gael but decides not to talk about the issue. Her mother asks her if they had an argument, she says no. Carlos doesn’t like it anytime he sees her talking about Gael. Veronica feels Carlos is already behaving her husband; he keeps restricting her from doing he doesn’t approve. Mia agrees with her, and tells her she has to respect the wish of her future husband. She breaks the new of their wedding to them; her mother thinks it is a bit too quick. They just got back together, she though she still loves Gael because that the feeling she gets anytime she sees them together. However, if Mia is happy with Carlos, she can’t do anything than just support her like any mother will do. Gael wonders what types of life Mia will have with someone like Carlos. He is scared for Mia because they all know how cruel Carlos and his family are. Manuel tells him if he really scared, then Carlos should go to jail for attempting to kill him. Muloy hands over a brown envelop from Irvin to Carlos, it contains Mayor Alcaraz calls record from the telecommunication company database. Carlos tells him may be they can find something in his call logs.
Muloy also goes through the records and notices that Alcaraz may be dating. It keeps calling the same number; Carlos decides to call the number and immediately recognizes Alexa’s voice. Muloy wonders why Alexa would be talking to the Mayor so frequently. Manuel asks Gael why he didn’t call the police, when he saw Carlos at Mia’s place. He tells him it also cross his mind but he didn’t want Mia to be involved. Manuel disagrees with him and reminds that Carlos and his families are criminal. Gael tells him there is nothing he can if Mia decided to marry a criminal. He went to see her in the first place because they thought it was worth to fight for their love. Ramon asks Mia if she had already said yes to Carlos’s proposal. She says yes and assures him she loves Carlos that is why she asked him to give her some time to think. He asks her not to feel responsible for what happen to Gael. She tells him she also can’t have peace of mind. Moreover she knows what Carlos is capable of doing in the name of the love he feels for her. He asks her if she still loves Gael, but she hesitate, Gael is pouring his feelings out to Manuel. He wanted to show Mia how much he loves her, and how far he is willing to go just to prove it to her. Mia tells Ramon her feelings for Gael didn’t go away, but the situations had put an end to it. However, when she saw him almost dead, she realized he still important to her. She decided to marry Carlos because she loves him but deep inside her heart Gael still lives in there.

He feels like there is a big space in his heart, and it is only Mia’s love that can fill it. He will keep fighting for that love, even if he looks like a fool, he won’t give up. Carlos tells Muloy Mia agreed to marry him right in front of Gael. Abner assures Alexa that Carlos and Lorenzo are still in the country. She tells him they won’t stop her from going according to her plan. Abner wants to know if she is sure it will work, she tells him she has already called the board of Director for a meeting. She is also part of the company so she can easily convince them, to dissolve the company. Carlos calls his dad to inform him that they will the help of someone. He wonders what Alexa is planning. Lorenzo finally comes home; Vida sees him and runs in his arms. Alexa sees him and tells him he is risking himself, and reminds him the police can show up at any time. Just at that time, they hear the police siren, Lorenzo asks Vida to go out and check it. Carlos goes to the Mayor to confront him, he tells him to stop pretending they already know everything.
Lorenzo tries to leave but Alexa stop him and try to convince him to confess. He should tell them what he and Carlos did and he may get a lesser sentence. He asks her if she really going to let him rot in jail, she asks him what he expects her do if they have all the evidence that show that he is guilty. Carlos makes the Mayor sign some document. Muloy enters with the police and asks them to arrest the Mayor. The Mayor begs Carlos not to forget about their deal. He should take good care of his family, Carlos promises to do just that. The police come in and tell Lorenzo they only came to confirm that he has not been arrested. The lawyer informs Carlos and Muloy that with the Mayor’s statement, all the allegation against them are now cancelled. The police leave and Lorenzo asks Alexa if she was scared or shocked. Manuel and Marilen hear the news on the television, they quickly call Gael, and Manuel tells them he saw this coming. Now he wonders what will happen to the case Gael filed against them. Lorenzo confronts Alexa about her implication in the case; he asks her if she did all this to ruin him and Carlos. She says yes because they deserve it, they destroyed her life, they are monsters. He tells her he should have listen to Carlos warning instead of trusting her.
She reminds him that he didn’t and asks him who the stupid one now is. She tells him he now knows how it feels like to be a fool. He and Carlos deceived her; she even killed her husband trying to defend herself. Lorenzo tells her she already had a miserable life when she was with Tony. She tells him he had no idea who difficult if was for her to rebuild her life after Tony’s death. She tells him he made her company go bankrupt because he deceived her in going into the airport project. Lorenzo tells her she betrayed him, and assures her he will do everything to have her locked up. Alexa removes a document from the drawer, and promises she is not done with Lorenzo. She goes downstairs to meet with; he tells her he is not the mood for jokes. She tells him she is not the only who is at fault and asks him how long he intend to fool Carlos. He warns her not to involve Carlos in their fight then she hands over the document to him. Carlos barges in and tells him not to allow her to fool him again; Lorenzo tells him he can handle her. Lorenzo manages to make Carlos leave and Alexa asks him what he will do when Carlos find out the truth about his parent. Lorenzo asks her how much she wants to keep her mouth shut. She tells him not to press any charges against her and Carlos will never find out about his secret
