Manuel tells his family that he felt it in Carlos eye that he will never accept his as a father, and blames himself for being a bad father to him when he was JR, Gael tells him in a one way or the other they all hurt him, but Marilen asks them to be patient and understand how Carlos is feeling right now, she advises them to make Carlos feels he has always been part of their live, even though he wasn’t with them, Carlos goes home and asks Lorenzo if the Nakpils were telling the truth, Lorenzo tries to explain but he gets angry and asks him to tell him whether he hid him from them as revenge, Lorenzo also get angry and admit it, Marilen tells them what is important is that JR is alive, he may reject them now but he will surely come around, Lorenzo admit that he knows Marilen and Manuel very well, in fact he was in love with Marilen, but she betrayed him his co-called best friend Manuel, so when he met him he thought he won the jackpot, Carlos quietly walks away, but stops when Lorenzo says everything change across the line, he didn’t see him as a weapon anymore but as the son he always wanted to have, Carlos tells him just like all of them, he also betrayed him, Lorenzo reminds him he was more than a father and family to him than his own family, he gave him life, Carlos tells him but he also lie to him, and reminds Lorenzo that he thought him that trust is the foundation of a family, but he did the opposite, Mia’s parent tries to get more information from her, but she says nothing, her father starts speaking ill of Carlos, but she assures them Carlos is not a bad person and cry.
Back in his room, Gael watches JR’s picture and smiles at the thought that he is alive, he cries and remembers all the time they spend together, cry and hopes JR forgives him, Mia narrates what happen to her parent, they don’t understand why he didn’t tell the truth earlier, but allow things to get worst between them, but Mia defends Carlos, she tells him because Gael sold him, but what made matters worse is the love they both feel for her, she informs them that things hasn’t been easy for Carlos, he really suffered before he became an Antonio, that is why he didn’t want to also lose her to Gael, her dad tells her it is not a reason for him to pour his anger on her, she tells she understand his anger now, but she doesn’t know if it was right for him to used her to fill the love he yearns for, and now she feels sorry for him.
Carlos goes to Muloy’s wake but this time walks straight to his corpse, put his hand on the coffin, and tells him they finally found out the truth, he told Gael, and admit that Muloy was right, he held unto his anger for so long that he thought he has no emotion anymore, but he was wrong, when he told Gael the truth, all his anger and pain comes back, he cleaned his tears and continue with his speech, he tells him hey all hurt him but Muloy is the only person who treated him like family, the only one who cared about him, the only one who loved him, at this point he can’t hide his tears anymore, he start crying, and assured Muloy he was the only one, but he left him. Marilen is cooking, she orders the house held to open more sardine because Carlos or JR may ask for more, Manuel watches her as she happily cook and assure him Carlos will come around, Ms. Pierre offers a job to Mia in the States, but she refuses, she recalls a fight between Gael and Carlos, Marilen walks towards Carlos at Muloy’s wake and asks him if he is coming with them after the burial, but he says no, and leave, she starts crying and they all join her to console her, Lorenzo watches Carlos’s picture and promises to do everything possible to win him back, Eva can’t believe Gael is dropping all the charges against Carlos, Alexa also can’t believe it, she though he wanted to fight Carlos back, but Gael assures his lawyer that is what he wants, and informs the lady that Carlos is his brother so he can’t go ahead with the case anymore, Lorenzo informs the board of directors that Carlos is the new president of the company, Mr. Hence interrupts their meeting and informs them that he is suing Antonio’s Holding for their delays and inconsistency in building Puente de Amor and Treasure Manila.
