The Nakpil have breakfast, Gael reads the wedding in the newspapers and gets mad that it is happening so soon, he throws the paper away and walks out, Alexa is determined on making Carlos pays for what he did to her, she feels his engagement is the perfect moment for her to strike, she wants him to know how it feels to lose his most important thing, Eva joins the Nakpil at breakfast and informs Gael the prosecutor is reviewing their case, but she feels they lack evidence, they need someone to testify that Carlos went to see him in the hospital, Gael suggests the nurse but she informs him the nurse is refusing to talk, Marilen volunteers to testify, she will tell them what she saw, she is willing to do everything to help her son, Gael can’t believe it, he gets up from his chair and hugs her, Mia insists the redo the photoshoot but Carlos refuses, he doesn’t want to work with Martina’s teams anymore, and suggest they even forget about it, it is only wasting their time, what is important is their wedding, he hopes on that day she can show to everyone how much she loves him, and asks her if she really loves him, she hesitated for a moment, then calls him, he asks her not to answer because he already know her answer but asks her to at least act like she does, Eva informs Gael that his case against Carlos gets stronger due to Marilen’s testimony, Gael once again thanked Marilen but she tells him not to she is only doing what every mother will do for her son, Manuel says now the Antonio’s will realized that they are strong, they will also attack them as a family, Eva notices Gael’s bad mood and advises him to smile a little, she draws a smiley face on a paper and place it on his face, then makes fun of him, Alexa joins them and hand over the evidence to them.
Muloy advises Carlos to relax if not it will create problem between him and Mia, he explains to him what happen with Martina, and confesses to Muloy if she wasn’t a girl if would hurt her, anytime she said something was missing in Mia’s eyes, and asks Mia to look like someone in love when she looks into his eye, he felt like being stabbed because he can also see in Mia’s eyes that she doesn’t love him, but Muloy advises not to say that, he is only blinded by the hate he feels for Gael and assures him Mia loves him, but Carlos tells him she doesn’t, she only agreed to marry him to he can stop his fight against Gael, Eva tells Alexa that the evidence she gave them will prove how cruel the Antonio’s are, and to what extend they will go to claim properties, Alexa suggests they rush with hearing of Carlos’s case so it can coincide with his wedding, she informs then she has a friend who is a judge and he can issue a warrant of arrest as soon as possible, and promises them she can make it happen with of course a little bribe, Eva doesn’t like the idea, especially when they have to bribe a judge to make it happen, Alexa tries to influence Gael to make him agree with her, Eva gets mad him because he is not taking her stand, and remind him that if he really want to send Carlos to jail before his wedding she can easily do it, but reminds she didn’t become a lawyer to be insulted, and warns that if decides to go along with Alexa’s plan, he should count her out and leave, Carlos offers Mia a car as an engagement gift but she doesn’t seem to like it, she tells him she really doesn’t need a car.
Carlos feels offended that she is rejecting his gift, and sarcastically reminds her he can give her anything, he also informs her he has already found a new place, they will move in a day or two with her father, but she suggests they move after the wedding, he tells her if she really wants things to work, she should do as he says and move in with her father, he later tries to convince her it is better they stay under the same roof so they can easily plan their wedding, he also gives her a phone, he informs her he has also changed her number and tells her to make sure no one knows her new number, Manuel asks Gael, is he really want to trust Alexa, Gael tells him so far she has been of help, and he thinks she has really changed, but Manuel reminds him that she is betraying her own husband, and tells him if they are going to fight against the Antonio’s, they will do it fair and square, and reminds him they are Nakpil’s, Lorenzo tells his Ninong he feels Carlos will turn his back on him as soon as he find out the truth, and promises to do anything to prevent Carlos from finding out that he knew his parents, if not Carlos will never forgive him for this betrayal, his friend advise him to leave before everything blows up, Mia’s parent witness an argument between Carlos and Mia, her mother can’t believe they have already started arguing but Mia tells him Carlos is only stressed out, Carlos comes to his dad’s place as agreed and is glad to see Ninong Raffy, Carlos admit for being a playboy but it is finally time for him to settle down, Eva informs Gael that at any moment from now they will released a court summons for Carlos, Lorenzo and Ninong come up with a plan to send Carlos to the USA for work to prevent the wedding.
