Nanay goes on her knee to apologize to Carlos despite Gael and Manuel objection, Gael tells Carlos he doesn’t deserve to be with Mia, after the Nakpil’s leave Carlos gets furious and kicks the wall several time until Muloy stops him, he remembers the day they sold him, and confesses to Muloy that it really hurt him to see his family going against him, he wants to believe he can still accept them, but he can’t, he was hoping they will go on their knee like Nanay to ask him for forgiveness for mistreating and selling him, but his wounds are so deep that it can’t be healed, Lorenzo asks someone on the phone to burry all the evidence that shows that Carlos is JR, Carlos is drinking his sorrow out in the bar, Muloy tries to stop him, and advises drinking won’t stop his problem, he is rather destroying himself, Carlos tells him he doesn’t have any problem and need no one help, and asks Muloy to leave him alone, back at the Nakpil’s house, Gael asks Nanay what it was all about, why on earth did she kneel in front of Carlos, she said she just want everything to stop, Gael thinks kneeling wasn’t the best way to go about it, it made it seem like they are fault, he felt like she turned her back on him, he also want all this end but now she gave Carlos the opportunity to step on them over and over again, Gael reprimands her for always tolerating and taking Carlos’s side, and asks her if she thinks he is JR, or does Carlos reminds her of JR. Alone in his car, Carlos assesses himself, he is filthy rich, and can afford whatever he like but he is all alone, he feels like nothing has changed, it is just like when he was a kid and they all turned their back on him, when they sold him, he thinks they are all on Gael’s side, his brother who sold him, the one who deprived him of the love of his family, they are all defending him, Gael tells Nanay, if she can’t gets JR out of her mind it means she also can’t forget his (Gael)’s mistake, and thinks if he took good care of JR, he would have being alive today.
Manuel intervenes but Gael doesn’t allow him to speak, he tells him he didn’t want to bring this issue up again but anytime Nanay takes Carlos’s side, he feels like he is the one at fault, Nanay finally speaks and tells him not to think this way, and assures him she doesn’t blame him for anything, but Gael tells her this is exactly how he feels anytime she takes Carlos’s side, and what hurt him the most is that he (Gael) is her son, but she is always taking his side and goes inside. Carlos doesn’t know whether he is still doing the right things by holding unto his love for Mia, he was very hurt when he read her letter, and refuses to be a second choice once again, all he wants is for them to choose him, Nanay tells Manuel she didn’t mean to hurt Gael, she loves him but Manuel tells she did it unintentionally but as his parent, they will do everything to make up to him, Nanay regrets her action, she tells Manuel she was carried away, and didn’t think about how they will feel, especially Gael, now she feels like a bad mother, but Manuel assures her she is not, and asks her to worry, if Gael was able to forgive him for being a bad father, he will also forgive her, Nanay promises him to do everything to make it up to Gael, Mia worries Carlos isn’t back and send him a message to let her know when he gets home, he sees the message but ignores her, Eva eaten again, she asks Gael if he wants to talk about what happen earlier, Gael tells her yes, after all he also need someone to talk to, Mia comes to check on Carlos but he is not in, she text him again to let him know she is at his place, Gael thanks Eva for all her help and apologizes for making matters worse, but she tells him not worry, she understands, and for the first time, she made him laugh, he confesses his feeling for Mia to her, Mia calls Carlos but he doesn’t pick it, she send him a text again, to inform him she is leaving and hope he is doing ok, they will meet at the photoshoot as agreed, Carlos finally call Mia, she reprimands him for not picking her calls last night, and asks him if he is ok, he tells her he is home and asks her if she wants him to pick her up for the photoshoot, she tells him not to worry, they will meet there, back at the photoshoot, Mia is having her make up done while a lady tells her how lucky she is to be married to Carlos.
Carlos joins them, and Mia notices his bandage hand, and asks him what happen last night, he lied to her that it was a minor accident at the site and asks her not to worry, he then asks her if she is ready, Alexa reads about Carlos and Mia wedding in the newspapers and says he is wrong if he thinks he is going to be happy, Carlos doesn’t deserve love in anyway, and crumple the paper, Mia and Carlos have their photoshoot, the photographer asks her to smile, and shows Carlos how in love she is, she wants to sees it in her eyes, she advises her not to be too conscious, Mia apologizes to her and tells her this is all new to her, Carlos asks her to relax, the photographer tells Mia not to worry, she only want Mia to show in her photo how much she is in love, Carlos get pissed off and tells the photographer Mia doesn’t have to show to anyone that she is in love, because Mia is really in love with him, and tells her if she really wants love then she should snap this picture, he holds Mia’s neck and kiss her, the photographer suggests they take a break, Mia excuses herself to use the bathroom, Carlos and photographer go over the pictures, he later blames her for the bad pictures and threatens to have her fired, she tells him there is something lacking in Mia’s eyes and suggests they retakes the pictures, Carlos gets angry but Mia shows up in time and takes the blame, and agree they retake them again, but he says no, he wants a new team, a different photographer, this team is incompetent.
